MEDITECH runs on three architectures — Magic, Client/Server (6.x), and Expanse — and many hospitals run more than one simultaneously during migration. Vizier supports all three. Pick a direct API connector (Expanse), a scheduled NPR/DR feed (Magic and C/S), or manual upload.

Direct Connector (Recommended)

Live API to MEDITECH Expanse, Data Repository to Magic / C/S

Vizier connects to the MEDITECH Data Repository on Magic and Client/Server installations, and to the Expanse Web API (FHIR R4 supported) on Expanse environments. A read-only credential, allowlisted to Vizier's connector IPs, is sufficient. We support running multiple MEDITECH versions in parallel — common at multi-hospital systems mid-migration.

Scheduled NPR / DR Feed

Your NPR or DR reports on a cron, written to SFTP

When external API access isn't approved, your existing NPR (Network and Program Reporting) or DR exports can be scheduled to SFTP nightly. Vizier picks up the files automatically and refreshes the analytics layer.

Organizations with conservative IT policies, MEDITECH 6.x or 6.1 environments with limited external integration.
